Artist statement: This piece was created as an ode to Palestine. I have been feeling helpless and struggling to make contributions to the resistance through physical means, like protesting due to health issues. Instead I spent time to create this piece that has all the symbols of Palestinian resistance including the Keffiyeh, Watermelon, Poppies, Olives and olive oil and the keys.
